UEFA Champions League Semi Final 2 - 2nd leg
AC Milan 3 - 0 Man Utd
(5 - 3)
AC Milan 3 - 0 Man Utd
(5 - 3)
Ouch. Nothing completes my day better than that.
(Any dumbass can tell you I'm being sarcastic. And feeling somewhat foul.)
Thing is, Milan, after their involvement in a particular football match fixing scandal in Italy which happened a year ago, SHOULD NOT even be in the Champions League in the very 1st place! Does it make sense for a team who tarnished the name of Italian football, to represent them? If they were disqualified from the competition, things would've been very different. By the way if you're an AC Milan fan, don't even think of denying that. Its fact.
Not that this is sour grapes I'm having right now nor am I denying AC Milan's prowess. Its just a matter of legitimacy of Milan to compete in the worlds most prestigious continental competition in the aftermath of being involved in one of the worst scandals to ever hit Italian football, or anywhere in Europe for that matter. If it was Inter Milan, not AC, who came up against United, and beat them, I'll have nothing to say about that. Really.
Still, whats done is done. Ironic really, both English FA Cup finalists (Man Utd, Chelsea) bit the dust in the semi finals of the Champions League.
So there. In the Champions League Final in Athens, my money's on Liverpool.
Again.

(for the sake of an English team to win, but it's their only hope for silverware)
